Top tips for sticking to a healthy diet

Well it is the New Year and I know many of you, myself included will be more focused on your eating habits after enjoying a lovely Christmas feast, (for 4 weeks, ooops).

The key to success is habit and repetition.

If you do something every day for 21 one days, it should stick and become a new habit. There are ways of implementing this new scheme into your daily life and I have some tips and tricks to help.

You could possibly try eating at the same time each day.

In terms of repetition, if you do one thing the same every day, be it eating an apple at 3pm or having one of your three meals at exactly the same every day it will make life easier because you won't over think what to eat and when.

Perfect at least one healthy tea, that way you can eat it once a week safe in the knowledge that you can do it, fast and easily and it will be good for you.

We have a couple of go to's in our house, including omelettes, chicken and rice, stir fry and fish with sweet potato wedges and veg.

As you can see, all quick, easy and healthy options. Monday is egg night, so we know, every Monday we will be having omelette or some kind of egg variation, like my Mexican eggs  which can also be found on my recipes page.

Keep fruit and nuts in sight or within reach. That way if you feel snacky you can just grab a handful. If you don’t want them, then you know you’re not really hungry you just want to snack. If the snack is there you are more likely to eat it.

This tip will also stop you buying extra goodies in the shop as know you already have something at your desk so you don’t need to.

And finally, meal prep. We have all heard it all before but it really does make a difference.

It saves you wondering into the shop on lunch time hungry and more likely to make bad decisions. This way the decision is taken away from you and you are likely to eat healthier.

Just dedicate an hour of your time on a Sunday to cook a big batch of soup, or chicken to throw onto a salad, or a quinoa pilaf.

A trio of top recipes

I realise I have been very sparse with providing my latest recipes on here recently.

So to make up for it, here are three of my favourite from the last couple of weeks - maybe give them a try this bank holiday?

The absolute best in my opinion and one that will become a regular mid week supper is stuffed peppers.

Now who doesn't like a stuffed pepper? But I have to admit, it took me a long time to master the recipe. It sounds easy enough to make but as it is such a simple concept it is important to get the flavour.

I also found a fast way to make the creation.

I hollowed out the peppers and then put the lids back on. I put them in the over in a little tin foil chair so they didn't fall over and just baked at 180 degrees whilst I prepared everything else.

Make up some cous cous and flavour it how you prefer. I had mushroom cous cous. Whilst that is soaking fry off some onion and turkey mince. I added in some oregano. (I think fresh oregano is too strong but I loved the dried stuff and it is a match made in heaven with turkey). Once it was all cooked I mixed the turkey mixture with the cous cous and cooked spinach for added benefits and then stuffed the peppers.

I left them in the oven for a further 10 minutes to make sure everything was cooked through and hot. It also lets the flavours combine. Then serve with salad. Yum!

This next dinner is a rarity as my other half hates courgettes so I take the opportunity when he is away to have this super healthy tea.

Spiralize your courgettes. They can be eaten raw or cooked slightly but I recommend keeping some crunch in them or they become a bit watery.

For a sauce I blended an avocado with half a sachet of creamed coconut. It was a very luxurious and tasty sauce. Just season it to your liking and add some lemon juice. The coconut was a new twist I hadn't done before but I had some left over so I gave it a go and now i'll never look back.

I fried some onions for some lovely texture, added the sauce and courgetti to warm it all through and served with a couple of poached eggs on top. When the luscious yolk runs into the courgetti it is heaven.

My third creation, and one I am currently eating is an adaptation of lots of recipes for protein balls. I see them all the time and wanted to give this type a go. I have made some before but these were easier and so good!

In a blender I whizzed together some peanut butter, unflavoured protein powder, vanilla essence and honey.

Once it all came together in a crumbly consistency I scooped some out and rolled it into a ball. I did this 12 times and let the balls cool.

I then melted some chocolate with some coconut oil and dipped the balls into the choccy mix. One lesson I learnt was to keep the balls separate and in the fridge to set. As you can see from the below image they look a bit messy when they have been stuck together. Lesson learnt!

Once they set they have kept in the fridge for two weeks now (it has killed me trying not to binge on them) and they are a great healthy, on the go snack!

The nobbly bits give off the 'homemade vibe' or so I tell myself
Find all these recipes on my recipe page soon.

Food really is fuel

We have all heard it 100 times before, you need food to fuel your body.

And the food you eat depends on how you use your  body.

It goes without saying healthy eating is a must for all. Filling your body with vital nutrients, vitamins and minerals is the most important thing. But, we all have a treat now and again - you have to!

As someone who really loves cake, sugary cereals and ice cream (to name just a few vices), I have to work hard so I don't give in or I would eat it all day, every day.

But remembering that sugar is the enemy is difficult when that brownie is melting in your mouth.

Which is what happened to me over the weekend. Cooking lunches, dinners, breakfasts, even snacks are not difficult for me. I only cook healthy food with natural ingredients - wherever possible - it is just that cookie that is presented to me that ruins things. But as those kinds of sugary treats hadn't really been on my radar since coming back from holiday and I haven't struggled too much.

I enjoyed feeling energetic and fresh last week living on a hearty and healthy diet. I didn't even feel hungry!

But then I went home to Yorkshire - where the dreaded monster mum lives and it all went down hill.

She had baked brownies, chocolate cake and a strawberry tart. We also had a big family BBQ. I managed to reign it in with the BBQ, eating just a few nice pieces of meat and some salad with only one (homemade) breadcake.

And what a BBQ it was

But then came the strawberry tart with homemade ice cream. (I did ensure it was a small portion but when you're out drinking all night ((a friends wedding do)) the calories rack up no matter what.)

Then the next day I enjoyed two big sticky brownies. Yes I did turn down the chocolate cake but the amount of sugar consumed in everything else made up for it anyway.

Matt and I didn't eat very well that day, skipping meals and eating bread and oil when we finally wanted something to eat at 8pm!

I am ashamed.

But the main point of all of this is, the next day I really felt it. I was sluggish and lethargic - as was Matt and when it came to going to the gym neither of us had it in us to actually train hard. After 20 minutes of slowly trying to push ourselves we gave in.

We were close to burning out and it just isn't worth the exhaustion. So we went home to rest up and I am happy to say we both ate very well, as we will the rest of the week.

Grilled chicken, sweet potato and veg. Mmmm
So, hopefully with properly fueled bodies we can train hard again and get back into the fantastic shape we were a month ago!

A little bit of what you fancy

Now, I know this blog is about the battle against the sweet tooth and fitness goals - but... I am a firm believer of having a little bit of what you fancy.

Every week, my boyfriend and I have a day of eating what we want. We both enjoy exercising (in fact he is my training partner) and we both like to eat well, so we look forward to letting loose.

I would be lying if I said it was the only day of the week we ate badly, sometimes it turns into a weekend and we do give in to the odd treat throughout the week, but generally, this is the day we look forward to.

And yesterday was so good it was worth sharing with you all. I won't talk about everything we ate, just my top three foods of the day.

The most delicious ice cream
First, the sun was shining so we went on a little drive to a place called Blaze Farm where fresh ice cream is produced.

There is nothing better than eating fresh ice cream in the sun, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by green hills. I had cappuccino and raspberry, Matt had Turkish delight and rhubarb and custard (vile in my opinion).

We also made our own pizza, base and all. It was purely experimental and I had to use two different flours but it turned out pretty well. We both topped our own pizza's and then split them.

My pizza (the best) parma ham, pineapple and sweetcorn.
Matt's very meaty pizza

And then, the piece de resistance. Nutella stuffed digestives. We both love biscuits, they are a big weakness for us. And we both love a classic digestive - sometimes over a chocolate covered one. And dunked in a good brew they cannot be beaten. At least that is what I thought. I love Nutella, I eat it out of the jar with a spoon. So, I had a light bulb moment and spread a nice thick layer of Nutella on a digestive and topped it with another. Dunked in that brew - it was like heaven. I don't think you could get a better snack.

It just looks perfect
It tasted like perfection

By no means am I trying to say that throughout the week we eat boring food. We cook some delicious healthy meals but we both have a sweet tooth which is our downfall and what we miss for five and six days of the week.

I am a firm believer of the 80/20 rule (even if sometimes the ratio is not quite that). I would rather indulge in good foods which we crave once in a while than have the perfect body and feel grumpy and hungry all the time. I am the kind of person that suffers with the "hangry" syndrome (hungry and angry). As is Matt.

We both enjoyed what we ate so much yesterday it was worth a mention. It may be a contrast to my usual blog posts but I wanted to show that everyone deserves a treat.

Falling off the bandwagon..... again!

It was a spectacular fall.
Let me give you an example. Yesterday I had two slices of cake, didn't eat tea and went to bed scoffing lots of chocolate.
Woke up this morning, knowing I was going out for dinner and cocktails, had a healthy cereal and scoffed lots more chocolate.

Coming back to monster mums I discovered I still had a tin of Roses left from Christmas - sorry waistline!
I weighed myself and I am three pounds heavier than I want to be.
To be honest, I just haven't been focusing on food lately. I guess it has been a nice break but it is my birthday next week and I want to look my best for a good night out.
I need to gather all my will power and have a strong week which I know I can if there is no temptation in my way... which I strongly believe there may be, in the form of cake! - Birthday cake!
MODERATION - that is key which needs ingraining in my mind!

What is cake without a brew - what is a brew without cake?
But seriously, if I wanted cake I had it, if I wanted to eat a pack of biscuits I did and so on and so forth. The problem is, I always want this stuff so, as one might imagine, I have been a little greedy porker recently!
On the plus side, I have also been nailing the gym and weights! Not so much cardio, I am working on that! So I truly believe that one of those pounds may be muscle. That's what I am going to continue to tell myself anyway.
I'm terrified I'm falling too far off the bandwagon though so I need to focus.

Get my head in the game! Happy, healthy eating all!

This week's healthy feasts

Vegetarian Mexican casserole,
Avocado, rice cake and poached egg,
Banana cookies

This week I have embarked on a culinary experiment.

I eat meat but I do love having a few days without it as it can be a bit heavy on my stomach. I have also been having trouble with my stomach lately and I suspect it is a wheat or gluten intolerance.

So I have tried a couple of new healthy recipes to try and get my tummy happy again. (Apologies about my sloppy presentation and photographs).

Guacamole and poached egg on rice cakes:

The avocado, rice cake and poached egg is pretty straight forward and came from me having half an hour to rush a lunch using the few ingredients I had in.

So these new buckwheat rice cakes are brilliant. Only 29 calories and full of healthy seeds.

I love avocado, it is rich and creamy and full of healthy fats, it was a no brainer really - the guacamole and rice cakes would be a match made in heaven. But I needed more. It had to be more substantial to keep me going for the rest of the afternoon. My go to protein is eggs and I love poached egg.
Essentially I made my own healthy version of egg on toast. I upped the benefits by using super foods.

It was really delicious and will be a regular meal in future.

Banana cookies

These banana cookies were delicious and satisfied my sugar cravings. You only need three ingredients and they take 20 minutes to make.

Mash or blend two medium bananas to make a smooth paste, mix in a cup of oats and a quarter of a cup of chocolate chips - or dried fruit if you prefer. Scoop out onto a baking tray, (it made about 12 for me) and bake at 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Then enjoy!

Mexican casserole

Now this was something special. As someone who loves Mexican food and peppers this was perfect. I made it for friends and it served six so I had two portions left over for the next day.

I fried a load of peppers and onions in a pan, added some sweetcorn once the peppers had softened and sprinkled everything with chili powder and cumin.

Then I mashed up a tin of mixed beans and pulses with a bit of water to loosen them and made some enchilada sauce.

I used whole wheat tortilla strips and layered all the ingredients in a baking dish. Popped it in the over with some cheese on the top for 20 minutes and viola - a stunning dinner.
My boyfriend didn't even miss the meat!

Enjoy and keep an eye on my recipes page for instructions...

Sugar rush

Here we are again, on a sugar high.
The viscous circle has completed its loop for the thousandth time.
I really am on a mission to cut sugar from my life but my problem is, I just love food too much.
Being a big cook means I do not have to worry about unhealthy meals.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the most part are home cooked foods. It is the stuff in between that get's me.
Unfortunately, the job I am in means I am rewarded by happy customers with treats.

The issue here is the people around me. I am in an office full of sugarholics, and while their intentions are good in that they like to share the food they buy, it does not help my mission.
I do not binge to the extent I used to which is a positive but I really have not restrained myself lately. If a cookie has been put in front of me, I have eaten it, if the bowl of cereal has winked at me, it  has not lasted very long.
Now I feel my skin is awful. The sugar is punishing me.
I need help, what can I do? The world is surrounded by temptation. My will power is not quite developed enough.

Festival fitness

I am currently dealing with the after effects of Leeds Festival.
Having a booze break
While it was one of the best weekends of my life, I can really feel that my fitness level has deteriorated.
There is no possible way of eating well at festivals.
Four nights in a tent is one thing but the ground you cover walking and standing is another. While it is good for burning calories it is not so good for eating the right kind of calories.
Walking so much is already a strain on both your feet and your back so you do not want the added weight of carrying anything around, particularly food.
Feeling a bit worse for wear after day one
I started each morning with an apple and breakfast biscuits. Not the best start but certainly better then anything else on offer.
The rest of the day was spent nibbling on random snacks just for an energy boost, whatever was on offer really, which was unfortunately a lot of crisps and chocolate/biscuits. You are moving around so much any energy boost is welcome. Then in the evening you need something sustainable so you go for whatever is on sale. There is a lot of choice and I had a burrito, noodles and a burger over three nights. The burger in particular was not worth it.
Nevertheless it kept me going when I needed it. But on top of the bad food choices and random eating habits, I was drinking copious amounts of alcohol and having very little sleep.
Mid day music with larger to fuel us
All worth it I must say - I attempted to eat as best I could when the option was available. We made a supermarket trip where I got a sandwhich for my tea one night and yoghurt and granola for a lunch another time plus watermelon and grapes throughout. But at the end of the day it does not compensate for everything else bad for my body that I consumed.
It was all worth it
Ever since I have been attempting to get my sleep pattern back to normal, my exercise routine back to normal and my eating much healthier. I have felt lethargic and constantly hungry since though, so it is proving a challenge at the moment.
I will get there, today was a pretty good day for the cause so it will not take long. But it is crazy how four days can mess up your system.
We had a lot of late nights
I can also see it in my skin and hair. Both look dull and my skin is quite bad at the moment. It is due to the amount of sugar I took on board. My next step is to try and cut out sugar completely - bar the odd block of dark chocolate. We have to have some luxuries.

Holiday blues

I can only apologize for my lack of posts recently. I have been working my butt off for some exams I had to sit and then I went on holiday - pause while the jealousy kicks in - so I have had a lot of other things to focus on. But now i'm back and you have my full attention.

Anyway back to the post...

I have the holiday blues but not the typical type. I have the holiday blues of a food and fitness fanatic. I have had the most relaxing 10 days baking the heat of Cypriot sun. But unlike the more sane part of the population – relaxing for me includes incorporating exercise.
Without it I become jittery, anxious and convinced I’m becoming fat. Running also helps keep my head clear and my mind calm. So the 39 degree temperatures did not stop me from running. I promised myself I would go for morning runs before it got too hot. Not every day, I was on holiday after all. I am naturally an early riser so 8am runs came easily the first few days. But, as everyone knows, the sun and the heat can tire you out and make you lethargic.
It was even baking in the evenings

The fourth day in I woke up at 8.45am at which point the heat was already searing. It was no time for a run. That was fine, as I said I wouldn’t do it every day. The next day was fine, I got up and ran but each day was hotter than the last and it got to a point where I thought I would be sick while running. Never the less, I soldiered on because the route I was doing was only a 15/20 minute run. Short and sweet but enough for a holiday.
But then I woke up late two days in a row and it started to spiral. Now I really started to feel agitated. Normally I would do between 45minutes to one hour exercise, six days a week. So the lack of activity combined with what I like to call the holiday affect – You eat stupid amounts of unhealthy food but are made to believe it is ok because “you’re on holiday”, - spelled trouble. I don’t have enough fingers to count how many people have said that. I am an emotional eater anyway, so if I eat badly I feel like a failure and convince myself I may as well indulge on everything in sight and I can start again tomorrow. This coupled with “you’re on holiday” gave my greedy side license to gorge. So between the guilt and the gluttony and the short, sparse runs, I have come home with the holiday blues. I feel like there is a lot of hard work ahead of me to combat the crux that comes with holidays.

Slave to snacking

I love a good snack, whether it be sweet, salty or savory.
So this week I am setting myself the challenge of stopping the snacks. If I can do this week without snacking on the naughty stuff even just one or two bits here and there I will feel such a sense of achievement.
I am so weak when the good stuff is put in front of me but one thing I have learnt about myself is I am stubborn and competitive. Give me a challenge and I will do it. Therefore I challenged myself to this.
I need to prove to my brain that I don't need bad snacks, they are not a treat and I don't really enjoy them while I eat them. It is all in my head, I know that but sometimes my head is very strong willed.
(There maybe a left over Easter egg in it for me if I can do the seven days). I have done two days so far no problem. And temptation has been put in my way so there is a positive I can thrive off. I have shown some strength.
Fruit salad is one of my favourite things to eat so I have made a huge one to put in the fridge for snacking on.
I have banned everything naughty from my flat and have a healthy eating plan in place.
This can be done!

Protein princess

So yesterday I blogged about my bad habits and not doing so well on the healthy eating front.
I also think it is equally important to blog about the successes I have.
I know it has only been one day but it is the first of many good ones. I had convinced myself I had fallen off the bandwagon and would struggle to get back on again. Alas, today I did it. I had three healthy meals: protein shake made with milk, soup and sourdough bread and chicken stir fry. Snacks have been healthy and nutritious: kiwi, boiled eggs and peanut butter on sourdough bread. I know I have had bread twice but I did a big weight training session today so I needed the extra carbs and anyway sourdough bread is a healthy alternative.

Today's nutrition chart
I always feel a sense of achievement when protein is my main source of energy because it seems so hard to do, especially as most go to foods are carb heavy or fatty. But today I got the balance right.
I have eaten approximately 1,418 calories and burnt 357 calories during a cardio workout. I would not know how to work out how many I burnt weight training but I'd say enough to warrant the peanut butter on bread as more of a post workout snack than a naughty snack.
Tomorrow should be another day great of healthy, nutritious food. The feeling you have at the end of the day for eating well definitely outweighs the five minutes of pleasure from eating crap food. I just wish that was something I could remember more often when the chocolate bar or sausage roll calls my name.

Binging

I was fully prepared tonight to blog about my achievements of the day. I am sorry to say that will not be what I blog about but I will tell you all about my failures.
My post was supposed to be about how I had some little treats today, a couple of pieces of chocolate and a small amount of birthday cake (co-workers birthday, we all know the score) but at the last hurdle I failed.
Unfortunately I cannot mentally get it into my head that it is ok to have something naughty as long as it is in moderation. I go into this mindset as soon as I eat something bad that I have failed so I may as well eat everything I want in one day, get it out of my system and start better tomorrow.
So, when 9pm came and I had managed to enjoy three very healthy meals and a few small treats I felt very smug and proud of myself that the little voice inside my head hadn't got the better of me.
But I am sorry to say the one little Thorntons chocolate that wouldn't harm turned into six and then before I knew it I had binged on everything.

The cake that started it all
I don't tend to have bad food in like chocolate and biscuits but I had caved earlier today and bought a small bag of chocolate (which would be fine if I could managed one or two a day but I can't). I'm like Pringles, once I pop I just can't stop. Before I knew it I had finished the chocolates, eaten two bowls of shredded wheat and nibbled on just about everything in my fridge.
To be completely honest I have really fallen off the bandwagon lately. I lost quite a bit of weight and started to feel great so I began to go a little bit easier on myself. But that turned into ooo just one won't hurt, maybe another, oh I may as well have that and slowly I am putting the pounds back on. It is a slippery slope and one I need to fight. Willpower is something I have never been very good with. So tomorrow is a new day, and I am going to eat well, do a massive workout and set myself up for a clean eating weekend. Starting Monday I am going to feel energized and refreshed. It will set me up for a good week. I am also going to do another round of Bootea which helps keep me on track because I refuse for it to be a waste of money.
One thing for sure is I am an emotional eater. I recently hurt my ankle running so have had to stop that for a while which is something I am struggling with. I love running and I am itching to get back out there so the frustration of not being able to just go is getting to me. One more week of rest and I plan on seeing how I get on going for a short run.
But for now I am going to feel guilty about the amount of food I have consumed today and look forward to a healthier future.

The importance of a healthy fridge

I know I am not alone in this, there are a few of us out there who appreciate a full fridge.
So I thought I would share with you all, the contents of my fridge after a "big shop" and a night doing prep work in the kitchen.

My Fridge

From top left; Watermelon, homemade lemon and mustard salad dressing and half a butternut squash.
Second shelf down from left; Cottage cheese, Muller Rice (my naughty treats), Greek yogurt, homemade pesto, eggs and the superfruit - strawberries.
Bottom from left; A variety of mushrooms, frozen blackberries defrosting for breakfast, haddock (always have some kind of fish in). The containers, stacked from the bottom; homemade chicken soup, cooked quinoa ready to go as a quick salad or carb and roasted butternut squash (supposedly to add to salads but often used as a snack). Also hidden in the back is a salad prepared for lunch tomorrow.
Drawer; loads of fresh veggies like rocket, spinach, broccoli, spring onions, peppers etc... a lot of greens.

As you can see with a fridge stocked so well with delicious goodies it is hard to miss the foods and snacks like crisps, chocolate and pizza. I have full, healthy meals ready to go when I want and great things to pick at.
I find it so satisfying to know that I made healthy alternatives to foods. By making things like, my own salad dressing and pesto, I know exactly what the ingredients are and it is good to go whenever I am.

I hope my fridge inspires one or two of you to pre-prepare just on thing whether it be soup or even cooking up some brown rice.

Eat smart guys.

High fat low carb

In a previous post I mentioned metabolic testing. I went and had loads of tests done on me to measure my body fat percentage and to find out which fuel I burn the most - carbs, fat or protein.
When it comes to healthy eating I have always had a higher carb diet and a reasonably low fat diet. Most of the carbs came from fruit. I always knew that fruit had sugar in it but never considered that combining the amount of fruit I ate, especially high in the glycemic index such as bananas, pomegranate and grapes, with my nagging sweet tooth would be making much difference.
But, I had hit a plateau with my weight loss. I understand a lot of the pounds are now muscle rather than fat, and I am in no way over weight but I still wanted to lose a couple more pounds.
I also know that snacking like I do doesn't help but on the most part it has never been a problem when I wanted to drop those hefty extra pounds.
So learning that my body burnt next to no fat and way too much sugar it all became clear. I need to cut back on the sugar so my body will look to my fat stores for energy.
So this week I have written a diet plan. I am in day two and so far I have stuck to it really well but I have to admit I am struggling. Usually when I am peckish and eating well I reach for some fruit, while I am still eating fruit I have to cut back considerably. So this has been difficult. But I have succeeded.

Today's results
As you can see, I keep a food diary using the My Fitness Pal app, which I think is fantastic and would recommend. It calculates everything from the amount of sugars consumed through carbs and which fats you have consumed. (I am pleased to say the high fat count comes from virtually all healthy fats and saturated fat intake is still low as always.)
But to burn more fat I need to provide my body with fat. Anyone with the slightest interest in nutrition knows that you can't have both a high fat and high carb diet as sugar makes fat stick. And there is a lot of arguments out there over which is the best, I personally think it is individual. Hopefully after a few weeks of working really hard, eating loads of fat and protein, no unnatural sugars and limiting my carb intake I will be able to make my own mind up.
Coming from someone with a sweet tooth who eats a lot of fruit to combat it, I am finding it tough. High fat and protein means I am even more limited in satisfying my need for a sweet treat but hopefully cutting back on it will help. Luckily I love yoghurt and milk which have been saviors when I have just needed a sneaky swig of something extra. One thing is for certain I MISS CEREAL sooo much. The cheerios will just have to wait for a rainy day and if my body fat percentage lowers, hopefully it will motivate me to cut back on the naughty snacks for good.

Two days on the right track

So I have had another good day.
It almost feels like I have nothing to write about because I have nothing to moan about.
The one thing I do have to say though is this evening, I wanted to snack. I wanted sugar and I almost caved.
My new secret weapon that does prove successful when I remember is: hot chocolate sashes.
I need a sugar boost, the sashes help control the portion with hot water.
I had my hot chocolate at 60 calories and the seduction of sugar was gone.
So day two and that was the worst thing I ate.
I really enjoyed my soup, homemade, home grown tomato soup. My favourite. MmmmMmmm.
I will be so pleased if I can go all five days without a naughty snack
I don't think it is as bad if I do a big work out but unfortunately today I couldn't go to the gym because I had a long meeting after work.
By the time it was finished I was starving. I don't like being hungry.
I am craving a Morrison's cookie though and may allow myself the luxury this week if I exercise enough and eat really well I can.
The majority of my food intake is fruit and vegetables so that makes me feel positive.
Stay fresh!
